Nurturing farmer livelihoods and livestock
Samadhan, in partnership with BAIF Institute for Sustainable Livelihoods and Development (BISLD), supports farmer families with sustainable sources of income. By strengthening farming systems, improving livestock health, and building collective enterprises, we enable communities to adopt climate-smart practices and secure a more resilient future.

Outreach outcomes at a glance
- Centre of Excellence – Livestock: First-of-its-kind hub established to train farmers in clean milking, fodder cultivation, biogas, and advanced livestock practices.
- Farmer Producer Organisations: 5 FPOs and 2 microenterprises generated a revenue of ₹4.92Cr, introduced patronage bonuses, and onboarded 33% women directors.
- Microenterprises: Dairy and mineral mixture units scaled successfully, with products marketed under the Gauam brand, ensuring new income streams.
Animal Care & Health: 70+ health camps conducted, covering 38,000 animals and supporting over 3,100 farmers. - Sustainable Agriculture: 3,500+ acres shifted to advanced farming practices, including zinc-enriched wheat and hi-tech vegetable cultivation.
- Recognition & Awards: Farmers from the programme won ATMA and Pashupalan awards for excellence in agriculture and livestock.
