Mentorship and Leadership Programs
We invest in high-potential talent by mentoring employees and shaping future industry leaders. Each employee is assigned a mentor who guides their growth and enables them to develop new skills and expertise through foreign exposure, cross-functional assignments and special projects, etc. HZL also provides structural leadership development with initiatives like Vedanta Leadership Development Program and V-Connect to help employees with the right opportunities to thrive.
Launched in 2017, VLDP aims to bring in the best-in-class young talent from premier institutes and nurture them to be the future leaders.
It connects high-performing talents across the organisation with senior leaders, enabling better performance and a stronger leadership pipeline. The aim is to have a one-on-one interaction and group discussion between the leadership and employees.
Internal Growth Workshop is an initiative inspired by Mr. Navin Agarwal, the Director of Hindustan Zinc Limited and Vice Chairman, Vedanta Limited. It is a platform where top performers present their perspective on the evolving business scenario and wealth creation. Presented before a panel comprising the Director and other business leaders, the employees are entrusted with new leadership roles and greater responsibilities.
As they say, 'Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic,' and our organisation has never shied away from implementing the most advanced technology and out-of-the-box ideas. I got enthralled in the Chairman’s workshop, where radical ideas were appreciated and the vision of the organisation was discussed, boosting the morale to work on those radical measures. I am indebted to the company for providing me the rostrum to transform ideas into reality, and I am still contributing.
