Supporting rural women to thrive
Sakhi works to strengthen women economically and socially through sustainable grassroots institutions. By fostering self-help groups, federations, and microenterprises, the programme enables women to achieve financial independence, leadership opportunities, and a stronger voice in their communities.

Outreach outcomes at a glance
- Self-help groups & federations: 200+ village organisations and seven federations strengthened, supporting livelihoods and financial inclusion.
- Leadership development: 60+ Sakhi leaders empowered through capacity building interventions to enhance institutional sustainability.
- Credit linkages: 6 crore Mobilised through credit linkage to support 2,000 members.
- Uthori Awareness programme: 2,67,000 people reached through social advocacy by Uthori Jagriti Kalamanch, the theatre group under Sakhi.
- Family Based Livelihood Plan: ₹6.22 crore credit disbursed to 1,400 members for Family Based Livelihood Plan generation, a 9.8% growth from last year.
