- The companies sign an MoU to establish a pilot plant for pioneering sustainable solutions
Udaipur, 12th April 2024 – Hindustan Zinc (HZL), a Vedanta group company and India’s leading Zinc-Lead-Silver producer, and VEXL Environ Projects Pvt. Ltd. (VEXL) announced today the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a pilot plant for pioneering sustainable solutions through waste utilization and wealth creation. This collaboration underscores HZL’s unwavering commitment to a circular economy, where waste becomes a valuable resource.
The MoU was signed by Mr Arun Misra – CEO, Hindustan Zinc and Mr Bhaskar Bhattar – MD VEXL Environ Projects Ltd. As per the MoU, the company will be converting waste products into usable resources, minimizing environmental impact, and maximizing resource. The project focuses on utilizing waste products like jarosite and jarofix, generated during zinc extraction, for productive applications at pilot plant.
