Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta group company and India’s largest and only integrated producer of Zinc, Lead, and Silver, achieved a remarkable feat at the 22nd Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts by securing 50 awards across three distinct categories: Allied Concepts, Kaizen, and Quality Circle. This convention, organized by the Quality Circle Forum of India, Rajsamand Chapter, revolved around the theme of “Nurturing Quality Concepts for a Better Future.”
The event garnered highest ever participation consisting of 430 participants, with 94 teams representing over 10 organizations. It attracted key industry stakeholders who engaged in meaningful discussions on education, training, dissemination, and the practical application of Quality Concepts across various sectors, including industry, manufacturing, chemical, thermal power services, education, healthcare, rural development, and society.
Hindustan Zinc’s exceptional performance shone through with a total of 44 Gold and 6 Silver Awards. Notable achievements included Rampura Agucha Mine securing 3 Gold and 1 Silver Award in Allied Concepts, Dariba Smelting Complex triumphing with 7 Gold and 1 Silver in Allied Concepts, Sindesar Khurd Mine clinching 4 Gold Awards in both the Kaizen and Quality Circle categories, with an additional Silver in Kaizen. Rajpura Dariba Mine excelled with 4 Gold Awards in Allied Concepts, while Zinc Smelter Debari earned 5 Gold Awards in both Allied Concepts and Quality Circle. Chanderiya Smelting Complex proudly secured 5 Gold Awards and 1 Silver Award in Allied Concepts, and Zawar Group of Mines achieved 5 Gold and 1 Silver Award in Allied Concepts.
