Udaipur, 30th January 2023:
The MKM Football Tournament, one of the biggest State Youth competitions successfully concluded its 43rd edition at Zawar’s MKM stadium. The fever of MKM football tournament at Zawar kickstarted with a grand inauguration ceremony on January 21, 2023. The 10-day football tournament which was hosted by Hindustan Zinc in association with Zawar Mines Mazdoor Sangh witnessed magnificent performances from 12 teams that participated from across the country. Chief Guest Mr. Subrata Paul gave the closing statements at the tournament and handed over the MKM trophy to Delhi XI, in the presence of CEO, Hindustan Zinc Arun Misra.
The nail-biting finale witnessed Delhi XI scoring 2 goals to take the trophy home against DFA Udaipur. The semi-final match between Delhi XI and STFC Srinagar witnessed a clean sweep by the Delhi team, pushing them to the finals. And in the semi-final match between Doon Star Football Club and DFA Udaipur brought the home-team of Udaipur in the finale after 12 years. The unwavering support and enthusiasm showcased by the locals of Zawar reiterate the significance of MKM event and the long-lasting football connect of Zawar. This year the tournament also witnessed a friendly women’s match between Frontier Women Football Club Delhi and Rajasthan XI.
Chief Guest, Mr Subrata Paul commented, “It is great to see such a big crowd supporting and cheering for the legacy MKM Football Tournament. I hope that this become a launch pad for the future stars of football and would create new records for Indian Football. My best wishes to both the teams for the Finale match.”

The MKM tournament witnessed a massive participation of more than 20,000 people who gathered to celebrate the spirit of football and to support their favourite team.
