- Marathon to be organized on 18th December under Vedanta’s Run for Zero Hunger
Udaipur, 11th Nov 2022: The honourable Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Ashok Gehlot, released the poster of the Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon in Jaipur. After the recent Half Marathon organised by Vedanta under Run for Zero Hunger in Delhi, the 7th edition of the Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon will be organised by Vedanta & Hindustan Zinc on December 18. Since 2017, the Pink City Half Marathon has been organized in association with Cairn Oil & Gas, a Vedanta Group company.
Shri Gehlot and Arun Misra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc unveiled the Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon poster, which included the Nirogi Rajasthan theme. Brig. BS Shekhawat, President of the Rajasthan Project, Cairn, and other authorities were present for the poster release. Manoj Soni, Executive Director of Anybody Can Run, spoke about the marathon.
On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer, Hindustan Zinc, Arun Misra thanked Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for launching the Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon. He mentioned that this initiative of Run for Zero Hunger is significant under Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal’s campaign to bring back the society. Transformation for a sustainable future is at the heart of Vedanta’s business operations. By implementing the Nandghar project, they have taken a major step towards eliminating malnutrition in India. In the same vein, this marathon is one of their many endeavours.
Along with the on-ground event at the Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon, virtual participants will also participate in the Run for Zero Hunger.
