Udaipur, 27th June, 2022 – Hindustan Zinc, India’s only and the world’s second-largest integrated zinc-lead-silver producer running the ‘Unchi Udaan’ project, which offers students from government schools the opportunity to gain admission into engineering institutions of national repute. This offers students the confidence and ability to apply for courses in institutions that they otherwise would think beyond their capabilities

Hindustan Zinc’s Unchi Udaan program, a residential program for students, has raised its flag once again. With the announcement of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education’s 10th results, Hindustan Zinc’s Unchi Udaan initiative’s Batch-6 students displayed their talents. According to the results, 4 students got 99, 6 got 98, and 32 got distinction in maths. Science has the highest number of distinctions, with 25 students earning distinctions. In Social Science, the highest score was 95, with 30 students achieving distinction. In English the highest score was 96, with 36 students getting distinction.
Since 2012, Hindustan Zinc has successfully conducted the Shiksha Sambal program to help students understand better and improve their results in board exams and has benefited students each year. As part of the company’s Siksha Sambal Program, ‘Unchi Udaan’ provides opportunities for tribal students to get into IITs and other prestigious engineering colleges. Over 1.8 lakh children are being helped by the company and can look forward to a brighter future.
