Hindustan Zinc Scores ‘A-’ in Supplier Engagement Rating

Udaipur, 11th February: As a responsible organisation, Hindustan Zinc (HZL) believes in innovating for a sustainable future by ensuring long-term sustainable economic development and value creation. The company has been recognized with A- score in the Supplier Engagement Rating (SER) released by CDP. With this achievement, HZL is now among a small number of high-performing companies that were scored.

The Supplier Engagement Ratings provides a rating for how effectively companies are engaging their suppliers on climate change. CDP assesses performance on supplier engagement using a company’s response to selected questions on governance, targets, scope 3 emissions, and value chain engagement in the CDP climate change questionnaire and basis they provide the ratings to companies.

Hindustan Zinc’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2025 over the next five years are focused around creating significant opportunities to enable positive changes across operations towards green mining. As a COP 26 Business Leader, Hindustan Zinc has adopted many initiatives with advanced technologies to optimise water consumption, enhance energy productivity, tackle climate change, and safeguard diversity.
