Hindustan Zinc Celebrates 53rd National Safety Week, reaffirming its commitment to #SafetyFirst

  • More than 70 safety activities were organised across 10 business units
  • The company recently received global recognition from British Safety Council for best-in-class safety standards

Udaipur, 13th March 2024: Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta Group company, prioritizes safety across its operations. To reaffirm its dedication to #SafetyFirst culture, the company observed 53rd National Safety Week under the theme ‘Focus on Safety Leadership for ESG Excellence’. A series of sensitization workshops & training sessions were organised to engage employees, business partners, and the surrounding communities across all operational units.

Throughout the week, Hindustan Zinc organized over 70 safety activities, including safety rallies, safety pledge ceremony, nukkad nataks, roko – toko campaign, safety exhibition, workshops in schools, blood donation camp, run for safety, eye check-up camp, No Vehicle Day and various competitions like poster making, poem recitation, Kon Banega ERCP Champion, Fire safety quiz, first aid quiz and slogan writing. These activities aimed to raise awareness about safety measures and enhance vigilance among all stakeholders.

Hindustan Zinc, India’s largest and only integrated producer of Zinc, Lead & Silver recently earned global recognition with the prestigious ‘International Safety Award’ from British Safety Council, acknowledging its best-in-class safety standards and practices.
