The mines in Mochia, Balaria, Zawarmala, and Baroi form the Zawar Mines (ZM). Its legacy in zinc and lead mining spans pre-industrial revolutions to the digital age.

Driven by innovation and cutting-edge technology, FY 2024-25 marked an unprecedented 276.7 km of exploration drilling, unveiling new lenses using methods like Mobile Carrier Rigs at Purvanchal and Rawa area. Zawar Mines aims to progressively increase ore capacity to 4.75 Mtpa by FY 2025-26, envisioning 6.5 Mtpa by FY 2028-29 based on Reserves & Resources potential. Achieving an impressive 92.24% recovery rate, Zawar Mines continually enhances the beneficiation process.

The newly established Mining Academy empowers internal talent for future mining through expert jumbo drill training, complemented by hands-on learning with experienced operators.

Zawar Mines, situated 40 km South of Udaipur in Rajasthan, has a mining history spanning over 2,000 years. The mine’s power requirement is adequately sourced from its 80 MW coal based captive thermal power plant, while being well connected with roads for its operations.
