Stakeholder Engagement

We are committed to deal with our stakeholders proactively, accountability and with integrity. We strongly believe that attainment of our business objectives should be strictly consistent with the needs and welfare of our stakeholders. We have Structured Stakeholder Identification and engagement process in place at all locations. “Stakeholder Identification” is the process of identifying the individuals or groups that are likely to affect or be affected by our operations and sorting them according to their impact on operation and the impact the operation will have on them.This information is then used to assess the manner in which the interests of the stakeholders should be addressed in the plan, policy, program, or other action.

Meaningful engagement is required to ensure that we understand and address stakeholder issues and concerns and know how these may impact our business. In short, it ensures we maintain our’ social licence to operate’,one of the key enablers of our business strategy.

We are committed to an active process of engagement with our stakeholders.

This involves:

  • Making public disclosures of appropriate information so as to enable a meaningful consultation with our stakeholders
  • Establishing procedures through which people can make comments or complaints

Grievance redressal is an important aspect of our stakeholder engagement process. We have a Grievance Committee, chaired by the respective unit heads, to review the grievances on a periodic basis. An apex committee, chaired by the location head, meets every quarter and the unit level committee meets every month and are apprised on the grievance received and action taken by the respective committees.
